Chris Cavanaugh Ready to Set Sail on the Blake Shelton Cruise

CountryMusicIsLove is looking forward to setting sail on the Blake Shelton Cruise on October 14-21st. One of the artists we’re excited about seeing is Chris Cavanaugh. Chris performed at the second and third annual CountryMusicIsLove Concert Benefiting City of Hope and he’s opened for artists such as Jake Owen, Josh Thompson, and Lee Brice (a fellow BS cruiser!).

In addition to Chris, Blake has also invited Trace Adkins, Jerrod Niemann, Easton Corbin, Neal McCoy, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, McKenna Faith, Frankie Ballard, Brett Eldredge, Jana Kramer, Tyler Farr, Brinley Addington, Chuck Wicks, JJ Lawhorn, Logan Mize, HER and Kings County, Joanna Smith, Maggie Rose, Clayton Anderson, Brandon and Leah, RaeLynn, and Nik and Sam on the cruise.

With all of these talented artists on board, we asked Chris who he’s most excited about seeing. He tells CMIL, “I can’t wait to see Blake because he is about the only artist that I have yet to see in concert. I’m also gonna try and catch Lee Brice’s show. That guy is probably the best vocalist in country music right now.”

Over the course of the seven day cruise, The Norwegian Pearl will take us to Nassau, Tortola, San Juan, and St. Thomas. Cruisers will have their choice of 87 excursions to enjoy during stops along the way. Excursion options include snorkeling, hiking, Dolphin and Sea Lion interactions, and even a trip to the Bacardi distillery. Chris told us what he’d be interested in doing at the ports. He said, “I really wanna take a fishing trip with a local from one of the islands. If I start getting into catching some big fish that day, please have them hold the boat for me, I’ll be right there…”

Chris is also looking forward to seeing his friends, old and new. “I can’t wait to be on the same boat with so many other talented artists,” he says. “It will be nice to have some time to hang out and just chill with each other. Usually if I run into any of my artist friends, it’s literally a 2 minute conversation before either one of us has to get back on the road to head to the next town. I’m also looking forward to being able to spend some good quality time with some fans and seeing them, hopefully, at multiple shows. Other than that, I’m ready to relax and get tan for a change!!!” There are two huge pools on board so Chris will have plenty of room to relax and get some sun.

We couldn’t talk to Chris about cruising without asking what 3 items he’d have to have if we were shipwrecked! Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, but you have to be prepared, right?! Chris says he’d have to have his guitar. Adding, “This actually counts as three items, I could play it when I get bored, I could use it as a flotation device (I think), and I could use the strings off of it for several MacGyver survival techniques.” Guitar strings to pull off survivor techniques? We feel safer already.

If you haven’t signed up to join us on board, there’s still time! Head on over to the Blake Shelton cruise website and tell ‘em CountryMusicIsLove sent you.
