Jackie Lee and Family Pay Emotional Tribute To Late Mother

Last month, Broken Bow recording artist Jackie Lee tragically lost his mother, LaDonna Midkiff. The 47-year-old wife and mother lost her private battle with cancer on June 4, 2016.

Just days after her passing, Jackie Lee performed at the Grand Ole Opry where he, his brother, sister, and father, delivered an emotional tribute to the woman

“Two Saturdays ago, on June the fourth, at 11:50 pm, my momma went to Heaven,” Lee told the audience. “I love her a lot and she is such a wonderful person.”

After introducing his family, Lee explained, “If there is one thing that my mom loved more in this entire world, is to hear us sing together, and so we’re gonna sing for her tonight.”

They went on to deliver an emotional cover of “Believe,” originally recorded by Brooks & Dunn. Watch their performance above.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family as they mourn the loss of LaDonna.
