Casey James and Carrie Underwood Return to ‘American Idol’ to Perform New Singles

Last night, Casey James and Carrie Underwood both returned to where their careers began for them. The singers took to the “American Idol” stage during the results show to premiere their new singles.
James placed Top 3 during Season 9 and was known for his guitar skills and Country rock sound. He performed the third single, “The Good Life,” from his self-titled debut album. Following his performance, he told host Ryan Seacrest that he remembers how homesick he felt and brought gifts for the remaining contestants based off of their hometowns.
Underwood made the television debut of her new single “See You Again.” The superstar donned a beautiful tangerine color dress and reminded the audience as to why she went from farm girl to American Idol back in Season 4, eight years ago!
