Bring the Fiesta with Martina McBride’s Guacamole

No party is complete until someone brings out the chips and guac. While it may be a luxury to order at Mexican restaurants everywhere, Martina McBride knows the ultimate recipe for the dip that will guarantee that guacamole will never be extra again.
Perfect as a spread for the big Superbowl game coming up or a family get together with your closest loved ones on a Sunday night, McBride’s recipe for guacamole is easy enough to make in a matter of minutes. Because besides, who doesn’t love a little bit of avocado from time to time?
McBride shared her muy delicioso recipe with Dr. Oz for fans to try and we cannot wait to pile this on top of some warm tortilla chips to fire things up during a major fiesta!
Martina McBride’s Guacamole
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5-10 minutes
Ingredients:
- ½ cup white onion, finely chopped
- 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 1/3 cup fresh lime juice (3-4 limes)
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- 7 ripe avocados
- 1 cup Roma tomato, seeded and diced
Directions:
- Mix together the onion, jalapeno, lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper and cumin all in one big bowl. Use a fork to mash the ingredients together well.
- Slice the avocados in half and scoop the flesh into the same bowl. Continue to mash the avocados until it reaches the consistency of your preference for the guac.
- Add the tomatoes into the mixture and continue to mix everything together for a flavorful time. Heat up some salted tortilla chips and dip away!
