Challenging myself to get in the best shape I’ve ever been!! Starting right now

How he found his fitness inspiration: “Well, just being in front of a lot of people every single night. I wasn’t feeling like I was in the shape that I should be in. I have a job that allows me to meet so many different people and to play in front of so many different people and I just wanted to take the initiative and try to get in the best shape that I could possibly be in. I mean that’s part of the job, I feel like.”

His balance between a busy schedule and staying in shape: “To be honest with you…It’s been really, really hard. I could actually probably be really ripped if I would eat right. I certainly try to, but being on the road almost makes it downright impossible because you’re always in a hurry and that causes you to eat bad or causes you to eat really late at night and that’s horrible for you. The worst part about it is the after-show food because you’re just coming off stage. You’ve been sweating, you’ve been working really hard and kinda hungry, and there’s 10 pizzas sitting in your dressing room. It’s almost impossible to say no to. So I would say that part’s been very challenging for me. I already have a tough time eating clean and when you have all that going on, it makes it even tougher.”

Where he sticks in a workout: “I’ve been lucky because Florida Georgia Line has a trainer on the road and he has been letting me pay him for workouts, so I’ve just been doing that. It’s been really good. Been really, really helpful for me to have somebody who can stay on me and make me do it.”

The programs and fitness buffs that motivate him: “I’ve been looking on Instagram…there’s a guy who I enjoy, you might check out the workouts. His name’s Steve Weatherford. He’s an ex-NFL player and he is actually an ex-NFL punter, but he looks nothing like a punter. He’s jacked! But he posts some really good tips and workouts and stuff like that, He’s got this program called Armageddon and it’s pretty cool to do that as well.”

His personal tips for fans to work out and eat right: “As far as workouts, I’m starting to find that CrossFit actually works best for my body type. I feel like I’m getting in shape much faster than I would do anything else for some reason. If you’re on the go and have to stop somewhere to eat fast food and there is a grocery store around, you can always skip the fast food and go to the grocery store and get an apple or some deli meat or something like that. Do a little bit healthier than fast food.”
