The holiday season is a time of celebration, family and traditions. Partaking in many of the activities of years past stir up memories and emotions for those involved, whether it stems from a favorite food, book or another special activity. One poem in particular, Twas The Night Before Christmas, is one that has been read for generations.

Putting a twist on the nearly 200-year-old rhyme, Sounds Like Nashville enlisted the help of several country stars to recite the passage. Among the stars who put their reading voices to the test were Brothers Osborne, Cole Swindell, Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson, Granger Smith, Old Dominion, Ryan Hurd, Lindsay Ell, Chris Lane, Chase Bryant, Midland, Jillian Jacqueline and more.

The reading didn’t go exactly as planned as several stars had an extra take or two to get their lines correct. “That wasn’t a great start,” laughed Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney, while Chase Bryant had a hard time reading one of the words. “This is country music. This is too big for us,” he joked.

Watch the video above with your family and friends to re-live the magic of Twas The Night Before Christmas, and stay tuned to the end for some additional bloopers!

From all of us here at Sounds Like Nashville, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
