It’s the end of an era as the hit reality television series, Duck Dynasty, will come to a close after being on the air for 11 seasons.

The show, which focuses on the daily life of the Robertson family, found huge success after its premiere back in 2012, and quickly became the top-watched program on its home network of A&E. Millions of viewers tuned into the show to witness the antics between the tightknit family from week to week, turning the cast into household names throughout the U.S. and even abroad.

Their huge success in television landed them a number of opportunities outside the series, including the release of their very own Christmas album back in 2013 called Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas. The record featured duets from artists like Luke Bryan, George Strait, Josh Turner and Alison Krauss and landed its way on the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums.

The cast made the announcement via the show’s official Facebook page saying, “After five years we’ve decided … as a family for this to be the final chapter of the Duck Dynasty series…”

The 11th season of the show will continue to air until January 18, in which it will take a short break before returning back to the air on March 1 with the last seven episodes of the series. They will also show their final Christmas special as they do every year before the end of the show. The finale will officially air on A&E on April 12, 2017.
