When she’s not recording in the studio or bouncing from coast to coast playing shows, Jillian Jacqueline enjoys spending her time exploring all that Nashville has to offer. Although she’s no native Nashvillian, Jacqueline is no stranger to all of the good food and unique shopping that Music City has to offer. She recently told us some of her top places to either grab a bite or participate in some retail therapy when she gets free time to enjoy her new home base.

Here are Jillian Jacqueline’s Nashville Favorites…

City House: “City House is my favorite, favorite restaurant in Nashville and they have the best pizza in the world. I’m not kidding you right now. I brought my parents there. They’re from New York. They eat tons of pizza and they were like, ‘This is the best pizza we’ve ever had,’ in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s the belly ham pizza. It’s just got mozzarella on it and basil. It’ll change your world. It’s just so good.”

Bastion: “When it comes to cocktails I usually order anything with gin and ginger in it. This place has a drink called the Bucks that you can order with any liquor and it comes in a tall glass with ginger and citrus and a huge bunch of mint on top. It’s so good it’s dangerous…and the place has a great feel and some really fun decor. The bar itself is tucked down a quiet side street in an old factory building and the one food item on the menu is the best nachos you’ll ever have.”

Mas Tacos Por Favor: “Mas Tacos is the best tacos in town. If you love authentic Mexican, it’s just amazing.”

Old Made Good: “There’s this store called Old Made Good in East Nashville. It’s really fun. You walk in and they have the whole floor is like glitter and I’m like a stickler for gold glitter. I just love it, so it’s really fun. They have really cool furniture and different stuff to decorate your home and jewelry and paintings. It’s just like a really fun gift store that I love.”

Percy Warner Park: “I absolutely love to hike ‘cause I’m a runner, too. But I just love hiking. I just feel like it completely gets my mind off everything if I’m stressed out. So I always try to go to Percy Warner. They have these big steps there and I usually do that. There’s a 2.5 mile loop, which is about enough for me. After that, it’s like, ‘let’s go to brunch now.’ I usually try to do that on the weekends and that’s a lot of fun.”
