Time to chow down again on another ‘Parmalism’ for “The Country Dictionary” with the hilarious Southern term of ‘scofflin’ from Parmalee.

Each week, the band lets fans in on their special slang they picked up from living over in North Carolina. Calling the language “Parmalisms,” they explain the words they use to communicate with one another based on how they were born and raised in that section of the South. But even still, fans could find their speech somewhat confusing if they don’t pay attention to the deeper meaning of their communication.

Not to be confused with last week’s episode defining the word, ‘scufflin,’ the guys all explain that ‘scofflin’ has got nothing to do with working hard, except when it comes to what’s on someone’s plate. When the band talks about ‘scofflin,’ they mean to say they are eating their food as fast as they can without leaving one single morsel behind.

Giving active examples on what it looks like when they ‘scoffle’ down a plate of their favorite meal, Parmalee gets overly excited when it comes to the term and how dedicated they are to the craft of ‘scofflin.’ While they don’t give a background on the phrase this time around, they sure know when and how to use it!

Stay tuned for next week’s episode of “The Country Dictionary” where the guys talk about what ‘on a tear’ means and what it relates to.
