The Three Best Winter Date Ideas According to Jackie Lee

Sweater weather is finally here, which means only one thing: it’s time to find that someone special to cuddle up with next to a cozy fire while drinking hot cocoa and catching up on all those holiday films. Sounds ideal, right?

Besides the tradition ‘stay warm’ date ideas during the winter season though, country newcomer Jackie Lee dropped in a few more romantic rendezvous to do around the Middle Tennessee area. Inspired by the adventures he and girlfriend Tae Dye (of Maddie & Tae) go on week after week, Lee gave us the lowdown on some cute places to hit up and let the winter weather fade away.

Here are three simple winter date ideas from Lee himself:

Exploring the town of Franklin: “One of our favorite spots, throughout any season…we went on our first date at Puckett’s Boathouse in Franklin. That is definitely our favorite date spot. Honestly, we’ve done so many different dates in Franklin. We went to the Franklin Theatre. We went to the Carnton Plantation in Franklin and we had a picnic. I took her on a picnic for her birthday last September at the Carnton Plantation and it was just beautiful. We had our first date in Franklin, so that’s kinda where we go to get away.”

Feasting on fancy food at 5th and Taylor: “I love 5th and Taylor, which is a restaurant in Nashville. That’s a great spot. It’s casual, but you always see someone in a suit there. It’s very nice there as well. It’s just kinda within a budget of not breaking the bank, but you can go and have a very nice dinner at the same time.”

Bowling for strikes at Pinewood Social: “Paul [DiGiovanni, his co-writer], Katie, Taylor and I did a double date to Pinewood Social. We went and bowled and did that. Of course, I think everybody does that.”
