Getting through the holidays can be hard sometimes. With all of the random obligations of family dinners and Dirty Santa Christmas parties, a drink can be needed to survive through the socialization that the yuletide snows upon us all.

Rather than stick to routine and attach yourself to your typical drink of choice, it’s time to spice it up with the introduction of a new festive cocktail to the DIY minibar: spiked apple pie punch. Friends and family alike will be impressed with your mixology skills on this winter-inspired aperitif, and you’ll be able to keep warm from that all-too cozy alcohol blanket the punch will pack.

Time to put on that bartender hat and stir up some boozy libations that celebrate the holiday spirit without putting a damper on the festivities ahead, so start off with the spiked apple pie punch.

Spiked Apple Pie Punch

Prep time: 10 minutes

Mix time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Five apples, Braeburn or Honeycrisp preferred
  • 1 qt. apple cider
  • 2 cups pear nectar
  • 24 oz. ginger ale
  • 1 ½ cups apple pie vodka

Directions:

  1. Chop up all of the apples into squares and add to the bottom of the pitcher or serving glass.
  2. Pour in combination of apple cider, pear nectar, ginger ale and apple pie vodka. Stir together to ensure the alcohol and beverages balance each other out.
  3. Push the apples into the mix to allow them to soak in the cocktail.
  4. Refrigerate, if desired, or proceed to serve the mixed drink up over ice in festive glasses. Enjoy!
