Happy Fall —  It’s time to bust out those over-sized sweaters, leggings, boots, and flannels and soak up the crisp air while sipping on pumpkin spice lattes!

As temperatures drop and the leaves begin to change, our taste in music changes too, so

“Fall” – Clay Walker

Okay so this Clay Walker song isn’t ACTUALLY about the fall season. But this song is incredible, and the title is fall. Maybe the more you hear the word ‘fall’ you’ll start thinking of crunching leaves and pumpkin drinks. That counts for something right?

“Chill of an Early Fall” – George Strait

This song is one of George Strait’s 50 number one hits, and there’s no surprise why. ‘The chill of an early fall’ is a slow, classic fall song. Everyone loves that time of year when the temperature drops and the foliage changes!

“Boys of Fall” – Kenny Chesney

This song, like the previous two, has the word ‘fall’ in the title. Not only that, but the song is about high school football and fall Friday nights. With the crowd cheering them on and the boys having each other’s backs, this Kenny Chesney song definitely has an uplifting spirit to it. ‘Boys of Fall’ is a classic song that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re in high school or reminiscing on those days.

“Til Summer Comes Around” – Keith Urban

In this sad song, Keith Urban takes listeners back to the warmer months. Instead of looking forward to the fall holidays, he reminisces on the Fourth of July and kissing his love. Now all he has to do is wait for the summer to come back around so they can be reunited. Until then, at least he’s got a job at the pier.

“Harvest Time” – Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan’s “Harvest Time” is all about farm life and the harvest season. Coming from a farming family, Bryan knows all about harvest time. Agriculture is a special part of his life, so this song comes in as no surprise for a fall staple country song.

“Indian Summer” – Brooks & Dunn

Brooks & Dunn’s “Indian Summer” mentions the late September heat, and I think we can all relate to that. This fall song touches on football, wind chasing leaves, and a sad love story. We’re left with another boy thinking about his girl that got away.

“Whoever’s In New England” – Reba

Reba’s sweet voice can make anyone think of the colorful New England leaves while singing about Massachusetts.

“International Harvester” – Craig Morgan

Craig Morgan has a 500-acre farm and based on this song he should love the fall season. In the very beginning of the song he proclaims he is the Son of a third generation farmer and married to the farmer’s daughter. He doesn’t take the harvest season lightly.

“When the Work’s all Done This Fall” – Michael Martin Murphy

This is a classic fall cowboy song. Even though the song has a happy and upbeat melody, the song is quite sad. Even though he planned to, he never got to see his mother when the work’s all done this fall.

“Country Bumpkin” – Cal Smith

This song is about as country and sweet as it gets.  Cal Smith sings about the journey of a couple, from when they meet to their death. They ask, “How’s the frost out on the pumpkin?” and say their child is “fresh as frost out on the pumpkin”. Pumpkins mean FALL!
