Celebrate Ellen DeGeneres’ Birthday With These 9 Country Flashbacks

Ellen DeGeneres, host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is celebrating her 58th birthday today.

Ellen was born in 1958 to Elizabeth Jane “Betty” Pfeffer and Elliott Everett DeGeneres in Metairie, LA. She started performing stand up comedy in the late 1970’s, early 1980’s and eventually landed roles in different films, including Coneheads. She eventually went on to have her own sitcom, Ellen, in the 1990’s. She began hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September 2003. She’s been married to Portia de Rossi since 2008.

DeGeneres’ television show has become a pop culture staple since its inception and has featured a number of country music’s biggest names through the years. To celebrate Ellen’s birthday, we’re taking a look back at some of our favorite country stars’ appearances on the show.

Remember time Luke Bryan faced off against presidential expert Macey Hensley (and lost… badly)?

We can’t forget when Tim McGraw took us all back in time with this classic…

Gotta love the time Ellen gave Carrie Underwood the biggest scare ever…

This cold weather makes us want to go back to when Jake Owen got everyone ready for summer…

The time Sophia Grace & Rosie talked to Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and more at the GRAMMYs was PRICELESS.

Don’t forget about the time Kellie Pickler revealed how she curbs her husband’s snoring…

Here’s a flashback to when Ellen played Heads Up with Shania Twain…

Don’t forget about the time Kenny Chesney told this joke…

And finally, we leave you with when Tim McGraw tried really, really hard to scare Ellen…

Happy birthday, Ellen!
