9 Country Stars Who Celebrate Love Your Pet Day Every Day

You’ve got to be kitten me right meow… it’s national love your pet day! While the dog days may be a few months away, these country stars show their furry friends’ love all year round. Woof indeed!

1. Jake Owen & Merle
True love is putting a photo of your English bulldog as your profile picture on Instagram. Jake Owen has opened his heart up to Merle and has never looked back. I mean, come on…how could you not love that face?!

Yo… What’s yo praaaaablem?

2. Hunter Hayes & Cole
As the phrase goes, a dog is a man’s best friend. That surely is the case for Hunter Hayes and his greyhound, Cole. Ever since Hayes adopted the retired racing dog about a year ago, they have become the two best friends that anyone could have.

This is Cole. These are our serious faces.

3. Kellie Pickler & Maddie, Pixie and Peanut
Kellie Pickler is such an animal lover that her husband has officially cut her off from taking in any more pets. Pickler has pretty much bought a zoo by being an owner to a plethora of animals, from snakes to monkeys to many dogs. Pixie, Peanut and Maddie always get a little bit of love from their ASPCA advocate mommy.

Off to Switzerland! – It ain’t easy saying bye to these sweet babies… #PixieAndPeanut

4. Dierks Bentley & Jake
Fifteen years later and still going strong. Jake has been Dierks Bentley’s sidekick for every special moment—from celebrating Bentley’s 10th year at the Opry to tagging along in a few music videos of his. Some bonds just hold on.

thankful for jake riding shotgun with me the last 15 years. been there for all my life’s biggest changes and phases.

5. Kacey Musgraves & Pearl and Bambi
Kacey Musgraves is known for keeping it classy yet quirky. She rescued Pearl, a three-legged Jack Russell mix, to add a little bit of puppy love to her life. Bambi, her latest “deer/fox/fruit bat/jackal/dog thing,” may be late to the party, but never fear: she gets just as much as attention as Pearl. Besides, family is family, right?

6. Kelsea Ballerini & Dibs
It’s totally cool to name your dog after your hit single, right?! Well, Kelsea Ballerini called “Dibs” on that idea when she adopted her lab mix pup just last year. And he’s all yours, girl!

my sweet boy is back on the road with me and I am the happiest. #DibsTheDog

7. Carrie Underwood & Ace and Penny
Although Carrie Underwood had her baby boy last year, she already knew how to be a mom thanks to Ace and Penny! The two little doggies made their little brother feel right at home and have been the best siblings a kid could ask for.

Happy #NationalDogDay everybody! Here are our babies, Ace and Penny Jean! Be good to your pets! Please spay and neuter! #Adopt

8. Mickey Guyton & Charlie
It sure ain’t a ruff life for Mickey Guyton’s tiny pup, Charlie! Guyton always treats Charlie like a rock star, even with a quick Instagram pic in the studio or a ragamuffin photo while on the road.

9. Ashley Monroe & Rosie and Petunia
Ashley Monroe has double trouble on her hands when it comes to her two Chihuahuas, Rosie and Petunia. Accompanying her on set and out on tour, the cute canines make Monroe the proudest of all the dog-moms.

Fun shoot with @cmt this morning with my babies. ❤️ Rosie and Petunia had a ball. Obvs. #dentastix #toothlessdogs #beautiful
