If Country Stars Were Characters From ‘Fuller House’
Everywhere you look, everywhere you go, there’s a heart and a hand to hold on to. At least, that seems to be true in the country music industry. But for those of you who didn’t just start humming the famous theme song tune, it’s also a reminder that the sequel-based series Fuller House is debuting on Netflix on February 26 to bring all of our 90s nostalgia back to life!
In honor of our favorite family heading back to the small screen, we decided to make a list of potential country cast members to fill the famous roles of the original characters. Let’s see if we got it, dude!
Danny Tanner—Dierks Bentley
Even though Dierks may not be the clean-freak, straight-laced guy Danny can be more often than not, they both care about being amazing fathers to their children. Dierks puts his home and family above anything else, just like Danny does for his full house. Besides, they both know how to crack a joke from time to time!
Joey Gladstone—Blake Shelton
We all know Joey Gladstone’s a comedian, but Blake could have been one in another life. His jokes got him the gig as the host of the Kids Choice Awards this year, in which we’re hoping he brings all the laughs. Maybe Mr. Woodchuck will make a surprise co-host appearance? Cut it out!
Jesse Katsopolis—Thomas Rhett
Thomas Rhett seems like he’s the hottest guy in country music at the moment, just like Jesse Katsopolis is the hottest guy on the show. (Admit it: you know you swooned whenever he warned people to “watch the hair.”) Both men also dedicated songs to the loves of their lives; Thomas had “Die A Happy Man,” and Jesse sang the Beach Boys’ hit, “Forever.” Have mercy!
D.J. Tanner—Carrie Underwood
Oh Mylanta! These two ladies embody some of the best qualities a girl can have: class, intelligence and practicality. Both of these women know how to be responsible and smart about making the right choices with a love of music and family on the side. It’s surprising that these two aren’t just related in real life!
Stephanie Tanner—Miranda Lambert
As a middle child, Stephanie Tanner knew how to bring the sass. It’s no question Miranda Lambert knows the right time to say “How Rude!” and move on. Have you seen the “Little Red Wagon” music video? That has Stephanie written all over it.
Michelle Tanner—Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini makes the perfect Michelle Tanner because: a) everyone thinks she is the cutest thing, b) she’s like the little sister of the country music family and c) she can say “Oh please!” with a diva attitude and we would still love her. Duh!
Rebecca Donaldson—Jana Kramer
She may not be from a farm girl from Nebraska, but Jana still mirrors the poise and beauty that Rebecca Donaldson emulated. While Jana sings about getting the boy and not the man, she can’t complain if she ended up with someone as hot as Jesse.
Kimmy Gibbler—Kellie Pickler
When viewers of Full House hear the name Gibbler, they think unpredictable and cluelessness. But as fans know, Kimmy was always just one marched to the beat of her own drum, even if the others thought of her as strange or unassuming. Kellie Pickler definitely captures some of that quirkiness in her bubbly personality that always makes us wish she was just walking right into our house as well.
Steve Hale—Sam Hunt
Oh, Steve. The biggest heartthrob of the show. Everyone had a crush on D.J.’s athletic boyfriend at one point or another. A former football player himself, Sam is no newbie to sports. But his recent walk down the Grammys red carpet has made him into a dreamboat while making everyone’s heartbeat skip.
