Year in Review: 2016’s Country Weddings

2016 has been a life-changing year for a number of country music’s biggest and brightest acts as many embarked on a brand new chapter in life… marriage. Quite a few artists bid farewell to the single life and said “I do” with the love of their life in front of their families and friends. “Love Triangle” singer RaeLynn exchanged vows with her longtime boyfriend Josh Davis on a farm in Tennessee, while “Burning House” singer Cam made her way to the west coast for a sunset ceremony with her new hubby Adam Weaver.

Now, we’re taking a look back at all of the vows exchanged and white dresses worn as we review 2016’s country weddings…

Ah, Feburary… the month of love and romance. RaeLynn and Josh Davis played in to this theme with their romantic farm wedding in Franklin, TN. The couple hosted 300 guests (17 of whom were bridesmaids), including the Texas native’s dear friend Blake Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani, at their “whimsical, woodland” themed wedding.

Mo Pitney and his bride Emily exchanged vows on March 5 in Emily’s hometown. Pitney revealed the news with a sweet post on social media, saying “Yesterday was amazing. It blows my mind that it’s in God’s very character to give good gifts to the undeserving. I will ask for your prayers since I don’t really know how to do this. (I’ve never been a husband before.) I love you Em. #ThePitneys.” Not long after tying the knot, the couple announced that they are expecting and due just before their first anniversary.

Randy Houser decided to embrace married life once again when he wed Australia native Tatiana Starzynski at the Homestead Manor in Franklin, Tennessee. The 120 guest soiree was attended by some of Houser’s best buddies in the business, including Dierks Bentley and his wife, Cassidy, Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany, and Dee Jay Silver and his wife, Jenna. The couple also walked down the aisle to a newly-released (at the time) “H.O.L.Y.” by Florida Georgia Line.

Dylan Scott is certainly playing to his single “My Girl” when he decided to make Blair Anderson his wife. The couple wed in Louisiana before being whisked away to a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It’s no surprise the couple eventually married as Anderson is the inspiration to “My Girl.” The sweet song is, as Scott explained, “a story that goes all the way back to sophomore year of high school. Just got my first truck, just started writing songs. I was 15. She was 16.”

Maggie Rose had the most perfect day imaginable when she exchanged vows with Austin Marshall. The couple returned to her hometown of Potomac, Maryland for the special ceremony. Songwriter Dallas Davidson attended and sang a song he had written with Rose called “She’s All Yours” for her daddy-daughter dance.

Cam toned down her normal color of yellow when she walked down the aisle in a white Jenny Packham gown. The couple welcomed 140 guests to their wedding, held in Joshua Tree, California. Cam later dished on the special gift she received from tour 2016 tour mate Dierks Bentley, calling it “really sweet and really thoughtful.”

Tyler Farr kept the “Redneck Crazy” to a minimum during his romantic wedding with Hannah Freeman. The couple said “I do” during a ceremony just outside of Nashville, surrounded by family, friends and guests like Maddie & Tae and groomsmen Jason Aldean, Lee Brice, and Colt Ford. They shared their first dance to a live performance of Brad Paisley’s new song “Today” from Paisley himself.

Native Run’s Rachel Beauregard and Edens Edge’s Dean Berner wrapped up 2016 with a vow exchange on Saturday, Dec. 10. The new Mrs. Berner shared her excitement and thanks on Instagram as the couple landed for their honeymoon in St. Croix, USVI. “Words can’t begin to describe how much this weekend meant to us, and how thankful we are to our family and friends who made it possible- not just this weekend, but everyday for the past 3.5 years and the many before we were us,” she wrote in part.

Congratulations to all of the happy couples!
