Casting the role for his love interest in the video just happened to be none other than his devoted wife, Gracie, as the two look happier than ever during the shoot. With the song chiming in on a lighthearted romantic ode to a simple life for the two of them together, Moakler and his lady set the scene just right during a backroad adventure. Of course, getting his wife to co-star wasn’t too hard, but definitely a vital part of the video according to Moakler himself.
“There has to be a girl in that video and I can’t imagine having another girl! ‘Suitcase’ gave us a lot of joy and hope – we were traveling around like gypsies and the idea was to capture that spirit in the video,” he explained to People Magazine.
Falling deeper in love during their getaway in the sticks, Moakler and his wife find themselves in a dreamlike setting tucked away in a vintage trailer for the perfect vacation away from the world. Proving their love truly can get by with the little things in life, the video highlights their everlasting passion for each other while keeping the easy life free.
