Everyone knows summer is an extremely popular wedding season, but what about fall brides? Fall weddings have cooler weather, pictures with colorful leaves changing, and a more harvest theme to them. To accompany a fall wedding, there must be a great fall wedding playlist. The country music genre heavily relies on storytelling which makes for amazing love songs. When a couple hears their first song, they will think back to their big day… so it should be a favorite!

Here are 10 songs to consider for your fall wedding…

“Then” – Brad Paisley

This sweet song travels through a love story from the first date to the wedding day to imagining the future together. This is the perfect song for a couple on their wedding day that just can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together. Brad Paisley married his own wife Kimberly in 2003 and he has sung several love songs since, but this is one of our favorites.

“I Could Not Ask For More” – Sara Evans

Hopefully the lyrics in this song embody what every bride and groom feel on their wedding day.  Sara sings, “I could not ask for more than this love you gave me, because it’s all I’ve waited for.”  No matter how long the engagement, waiting and planning for your wedding day can be tough and seem longer than it actually is. Once this song comes on, it will all be worth it. This smash single, originally sang by Edwin McCain, made it to No. 2 on the country chart.

“I Melt” – Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts have several great love songs, but this one just tugs at the heart strings. Who doesn’t want to hear “I melt, every time you look at me that way” on their wedding day?! This song starts out slow but picks up making it the perfect first dance song.

“Heartbeat” – Carrie Underwood

This song is incredibly beautiful and romantic. It also references driving out where you can’t hear anything on the radio, “a cricket choir in the background, underneath a harvest moon, standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat.” Perfect for a couple who loves country music!

“Can’t Help Falling In Love” – Elvis Presley

This love song is a classic and has been covered numerous times since Elvis originally released it. It’s featured on his Blue Hawaii album, so it is especially appropriate if the wedding is a destination wedding.

“Mean To Me” – Brett Eldredge

This adorable song was Brett’s third No. 1 single. Brett said when he started playing ‘Mean To Me’ live, girls would “just go crazy for it” and he’s actually had a couple get engaged at his show to that song! That’s just how romantic he can be.

“It’s Your Love” – Tim McGraw & Faith Hill

In October, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary. This duet was released in 1997, just one year after they were married. Faith was even pregnant with their first child Gracie while shooting the video for the song! Tim and Faith are an iconic power couple and it’s no surprise this song went No. 1.

“Cowboy Take Me Away” – Dixie Chicks

This song is perfect for a wedding even if you aren’t marrying a cowboy. This Dixie Chicks song is pretty country, so hopefully your significant other loves the genre too!

“When You Got a Good Thing” – Lady Antebellum

The incredible harmonies of a Lady Antebellum love song sound perfect on a wedding playlist. This song also offers some words of wisdom to the couple as a bonus. The three sing “hold onto the love were making cause baby when the ground starts shaking you gotta know when you’ve got a good thing.” Every couple has their ups and downs but it’s important to remember the love when life gets hectic.

“Change Your Name” – Chase Bryant

Even though Chase Bryant is only 22 years old, he clearly knows something about love! In this beautiful serenade he sings, “Well I wanna change your name, I wanna call you mine, I wanna make you smile, at least a million times.” Can you say “Awwww!”
