The Christmas gift we’ve all been waiting for: Amy Grant announced she is releasing a brand new Christmas album for the first time in nearly 20 years.

The album, Tennessee Christmas, will include 13 new recordings from Grant with both holiday classics and festive originals to bring some holly cheer to fans’ ears. Recorded in her home of Nashville, Grant felt like this year was the perfect time to spread some holiday happiness to everyone and bring back the lighthearted yuletide feeling.

“I’ve loved traveling the world with my guitar, but my favorite musical memories have happened right here at home around Christmastime with family and friends,” she explained in a press release. “I hope we’ve captured some of that magic to share with all of you this holiday season!”

In celebration of the new release, Grant will embark on a nationwide tour to sing some of the tracks off of Tennessee Christmas as well as some of her good ol’ Christmas classics. Joining her for the sleigh ride across the country will be friend and fellow artist Michael W. Smith and the winner of NBC’s The Voice, Jordan Smith.

As always, Grant will be back in Music City to team up with husband and country artist Vince Gill in their annual “Christmas at the Ryman” shows. Popularly attended throughout the month of December, the music power couple turns the Church of Country Music into a place of good cheer as they carol along with some of the Christmas favorites.

Tennessee Christmas will be released on October 21, right in time for the holidays.
