Blake Shelton is wrecked from emotions and soaked from the rain in the music video for his latest single “Every Time I Hear That Song.” Directed by Kristin Barlowe and shot in Nashville, the clip follows the Oklahoma native as he sings about a lost love and reflects on their time together whenever he hears their song on the radio.

“Every time I hear that song I’m standing in the pouring rain / On your front lawn and oh-oh-oh / I still think about you oh-oh-oh / Every time I hear that song / It’s like the first time it came on and oh-oh-oh / I still think about you oh-oh-oh / I still think about you,” he croons in the chorus of the song.

Shelton debuted the song on television when he performed it on the 2017 People’s Choice Awards, where he became the first country act to take home the award for Favorite Album and his second consecutive title for Favorite Male Country Artist. The track comes just after his 23rd No.1 smash “A Guy With A Girl,” which held the top spot for multiple weeks.

The new single will likely appear on Shelton’s set list during his upcoming Doing It To Country Songs Tour, which kicks off next week in Bakersfield, CA. Joining him on tour are The Voice season 11 champion Sundance Head and season 2 contestant RaeLynn. While steadily preparing for his tour, the singer is also gearing up for an all new season of The Voice, where he will sit as a coach for the twelfth consecutive time. The superstar enlisted Luke Bryan as his Team Blake mentor for the upcoming season.

“Every Time I Hear That Song” was written by Aimee Mayo (Lonestar, Martina McBride), Chris Lindsey (Chris Cagle, Kellie Pickler), Brad Warren (Dierks Bentley, Faith Hill) and Brett Warren (Tim McGraw, Toby Keith).
