Country newcomer Brandon Ray has the perfect anthem for the end of a long work week in his new single, “American Way.”
“This song just stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it! The melody, the message – to me it perfectly encompasses middle America and blue collar hard – working men and women’s lives,” Ray tells Sounds Like Nashville. “We’re all working and running so hard during the week. When the weekend hits, all we want to do is unwind and have a good time before the work week starts all over again.”
With lyrics like “Yeah, we work all week in a smokestack town / till the freakin weekend comes rollin around / and we party all night & we sleep all day / baby ain’t that the American Way,” the track is the perfect way to say cheers to the good times.
