Chris Young sits atop both the Billboard and Country Aircheck radio charts this week with “Sober Saturday Night,” his collaboration with the legendary Vince Gill.

While Young has had a chance to do some pretty amazing things in his career thus far, working with Gill is a standout moment for the 31-year-old singer/songwriter.

“I got to sit in his studio and hang out with Vince all day,” recalled Young. “It’s just such a cool full-circle thing for me. He’s absolutely someone that I put on a pedestal as a vocalist, as a musician, and as a person.”

Gill, who is the proud owner of a whopping 21 GRAMMY Awards, had nothing but great things to say about his duet partner.

“I’m really grateful to be a part of Chris’s great career up to this point,” said Vince. “He has an amazing future ahead of him. Thank you Chris for the opportunity to become a collaborator and a friend.”

Co-written by Young with The Warren Brothers, the track is the third single from Young’s 2016 I’m Comin’ Over album and is his ninth No.1 single.

Young will celebrate the big news with a trip across the pond to perform a series a shows as part of the Country 2 Country Festival, taking place March 10-12 in London, England, Dublin, Ireland, and Glasgow, Scotland.
