Clare Dunn Sings About Her Dream Man In “Tuxedo”

What woman doesn’t love a man dressed up in a well-tailored suit? Classic, hard-working gentlemen are what Clare Dunn admits she’s looking for in her new single, “Tuxedo.”

Growing up as a farm girl in the country of Colorado, Dunn confesses she was always into the guys who had a strong sense of determination in their roots and a persevering spirit that believed in more than just the superficial goods of success. Her latest hit describes exactly that, even making the point that sometimes making it big doesn’t mean you have to look flashy.

“’Tuxedo’ came about just through me wanting to express my hopes and what I look for in my dream guy and what I hope to be able to find,” Dunn said recently.

Highlighting her upbringing as the reason she’s interested in a steady, rugged man, Dunn understands how important it is to find someone who can stand their ground and be tough in what they want to do with their lives.

“Growing up on a small farm, I’m from nowhere. I come from the middle of nothing, and there’s 30 people in my hometown, and as a farm girl I grew up admiring farm boys,” said Dunn of her adolescence.

She even cites her dad as someone she looks up to in terms of figuring out who is the right guy for her.

“My dad was a great example as a young girl watching the character that he’s made of and his honor – those are huge things. So, ‘Tuxedo’ is a song about all the things that I admire about a man. He’s hardworking, he’s not afraid to go out there and do what it takes to provide, but he’s just a down-to-earth guy.”

Dunn says she knows someone is out there for her. And if she ends up finding him in a suit and tie combo, she would not complain in the slightest.
