Cole Swindell Sends ‘Stay Downtown’ to Country Radio

Cole Swindell pleads for his girl to ‘Stay Downtown’ in his latest single to hit the airwaves at country radio.

Rather than face the rebound romance Swindell may have fallen for in the past, “Stay Downtown” opts for an alternative solution to the post-breakup drunk dial. He chivalrously denies the opportunity for a simple hookup with his ex by telling her to enjoy herself on a night out rather than crawl back into his bed just for a one-time fling.

Swindell’s news to put out “Stay Downtown” as his next radio track follows the even more exciting accolade of hitting the No. 1 spot for the seventh time in his career. The country singer couldn’t find a better way to celebrate than to give the fans a new anthem to crank up through their speakers.

“What a week!,” said Swindell of his great news. “Not only did I get the amazing news that ‘Flatliner’ went No. 1, but now I get to let my fans know that my new single, ‘Stay Downtown,’ will go to radio on Monday. Even though I am not a writer on this song I knew the first time I heard it I had to have it.  Can’t wait to start doing this every night in my set!”

The fourth single of Swindell’s last record follows up the No. 1 successes he’s found with “You Should Be Here,” “Middle of a Memory” and “Flatliner,” which features friend and fellow country singer Dierks Bentley. “Stay Downtown” also looks to become Swindell’s eighth career No. 1 hit throughout his career.

“Stay Downtown” can be found on Swindell’s album, You Should Be Here, and will hit country radio on September 4.
