Country Music Artists Sought After Working on Hank Jr.’s Album

Hank Williams Jr. has become a legend in the country music industry in his own right. His name alone holds a high standard that many artists look up to and respect among their fellow colleagues. But when the word got out that Williams was back in the studio recording, everyone wanted to jump on his bandwagon.

Looking at the long list of credits from Williams’ latest album, It’s About Time, he let a lot of fellow country singles on board for his project. Well-known featured names like Brad Paisley and Eric Church as well as newcomer Chris Janson all got their own respective time to work with Williams, but they were a few of the lucky collaborators who were chosen.

“The buzz started on this and they said look, the word has gotten out that this is something real special. And everybody in the world, the Brantley’s, the Justin’s, Brad…everybody wanted to sing on this,” explained Williams recently.

The project picked up so much steam around town that Williams said they even had to shut some people down from appearing on the album.

“Some other names they know better than to even ask, because I don’t want them anywhere around me,” said Williams.

Someone he looks forward to working with soon though is Chris Stapleton. The two announced they are headed out on the road for a co-headlining tour across the country. Come early August, Stapleton and Williams will be taking the stage and the legendary partnership everywhere they go.
