2018 is certainly Dan + Shay’s year. The duo returned with a scorching smash, “Tequila,” and followed-up with an equally impressive self-titled album. Because of their dedication to their craft, fans are taking notice, helping earn the duo 200,000 album equivalents and 200 million cumulative streams since the project’s release.

With its wild success, Dan + Shay debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart at the same week as their single hit the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart, marking the first time since 2009 for any act to accomplish such a goal.

“Spent all morning trying to type a long, sappy post about how thankful we are, but words just don’t quite do it justice. This is such a big moment for us, our team, and our fans, who have poured so much heart and soul into this album. We’re so proud to share the accomplishments and crazy stats (200K albums, INSANE) with the people we love. Cheers to the next chapter of @danandshay,” wrote the duo’s Dan Smyers on Instagram.

Added his counterpart Shay Mooney, “All I can say is thank you. Overwhelmed by all the love you all have shown us. We’re always going to DO our best to GIVE you our best. We love you!”

Dan + Shay will continue the momentum throughout the summer as they hit the road for two major tours. In addition to being on the road with Rascal Flatts for the Back to Us Tour, the duo will also join Chris Young’s Losing Sleep World Tour in October. They’ll soon expand internationally as they embark on a six-date tour across the United Kingdom, beginning in January 2019.
