Grab the tissues because you’ll need it for Dan + Shay’s new song and accompanying music video, “When I Pray For You.” The song, written from the perspective of a soon-to-be-father, is part of the soundtrack from the upcoming spiritual movie The Shack.

“It was an honor to have a song that means so much to us featured in a movie as powerful as ‘The Shack,’” the duo’s Dan Smyers told People. “We were able to blend beautiful scenes from the movie with epic performance shots we filmed in Tennessee. This is our first time being a part of a soundtrack, and to make a music video for it was icing on the cake!”

The song, which features lyrics like “I talked to God about you / And I ain’t even met you yet / Everybody’s waitin’ on you here / I can’t wait to feel your heartbeat when I lay you on my chest / I’m already holding back my tears / I want to be the dad that my dad was / I hope that I don’t mess this whole thing up,” is especially meaningful to Shay Mooney, who recently welcomed his first child, Asher James, with his fiancée Hannah Billingsley.

“It’s hard to describe the love you feel for the first time when you hold your child,” Mooney wrote on Instagram after the birth of Asher. “I will never be the same. Asher James, I promise to be the father you deserve. And Hannah, I promise to be the husband you want and need. I love you both so much. You’ve given me everything I never knew I needed.”

The Shack, starring Sam Worthington, Tim McGraw and Octavia Spencer will hit theaters on March 3. The film’s soundtrack also features songs from Brett Eldredge, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley and a duet by McGraw and Faith Hill.
