After a multi-year hiatus Hootie & The Blowish will reunite for a 44-city tour in 2019. Dubbed the Group Therapy Tour, Darius Rucker will team up with bandmates Mark Bryan, Dean Felber and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld for the massive trek.

The Group Therapy Tour will kick off Thursday, May 30 in Virginia Beach, VA and will crisscross the nation before a homecoming show on Friday, Sept. 13 in Columbia, SC.

The trek comes nearly 15 years since the band last toured together and the men are looking forward to reliving their days on the road.

“We were content playing clubs and small theaters, so playing to three-, four- and five-times that size was incredible, and we’re looking forward to that feeling again on this tour,” Sonefeld shared.

Added Bryan, “There’s nothing like playing music live. For the first time in nearly 20 years we’ll be coming back to Columbia, South Carolina where it all began,” with Rucker interjecting, “And we’re ready to rock.”

Joining the legendary rock band out on the road will be the Barenaked Ladies, best known for hits like  “One Week” and “Old Apartment.”

In addition to their massive tour news, Hootie & The Blowfish revealed plans to release their sixth studio album under their new label home, Universal Music Group Nashville. The occasion marks the 25th anniversary of the band’s debut project, Cracked Rear View.

Tickets for the Group Therapy Tour go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, Dec. 7 on livenation.com. Pre-sale tickets are also available via the band’s website or citiprivatepass.com.
