It’s an honor for any artist to be able to play the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. With Dierks Bentley performing at the picturesque venue for the fifth time, he decided to crank it up a notch for his fans and surprise them with a special moment they would never forget.

And by a special surprise moment, what Bentley really meant was an impromptu invitation for Maren Morris to join him up on stage for a song or two.

The sold-out show featured all of Bentley’s hits including “Up on the Ridge,” “Riser,” “What Was I Thinkin’,” “Drunk on a Plane,” as well as current radio singles off of his latest album, Black. As the record hosts a couple duets, Bentley decided to treat the audience to a recreation of one of the album cuts by having Morris come out and provide her vocals to the track.

“We’re all trying to hold it together here,” Bentley said to the crowd before introducing his guest out for the performance. “This is my fifth time playing Red Rocks, but it gets more crazy and crazy every time. It’s not every night you get to play here, so I texted a friend to see if she could be part of tonight. She’s got one of the best voices in Country music and came all the way from Boston to be here tonight…Maren Morris y’all!”

The two cooed through their beautifully, haunting song called “I’ll Be the Moon,” before letting Morris take center stage to harmonize to her hit single, “My Church.” To make the night even more magical and memorable for all, Randy Houser came up to sing a little bit of “Bad Angel.”

Playing past the venue’s curfew, Bentley reassured fans how grateful he was for the opportunity to play that incredible amphitheater and make it a night to never forget.

“I’ve been waiting so long for this show and trying to think of ways to surprise you,” Bentley said to the audience. “I’ve told you about my friends and family who are here tonight, but I’m here for you fans.”

Bentley will continue on his Somewhere on a Beach Tour throughout the next few weeks of October. Tickets and information are available on his website.
