Dustin Lynch to Celebrate Tennessee’s Musical Roots With Six Degrees to Tennessee Roots Jam

Dustin Lynch will head into the heart of soul and rock-n-roll when he participates in the one-night-only concert experience Six Degrees to Tennessee Roots Jam in Memphis, TN.

The show, which will take place at the historic New Daisy Theatre on the world-famous Beale Street, is part of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development’s new program, Tennessee Music Pathways. The statewide program will guide visitors to iconic musical landmarks that celebrate the seven musical genres that call Tennessee home: blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, soul, rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll.

“Tennessee Music Pathways connects fans to the people, places and genres that make Tennessee the Soundtrack of America. From the largest cities to the smallest communities, this state-wide program identifies, explains, and preserves the legacy of music in Tennessee,” said Commissioner Kevin Triplett, Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, in a press release. “The Six Degrees to Tennessee Roots Jam showcases the talents of artists who share a common love of music and a direct connection to the music that is made every day in Tennessee.”

Lynch will be joined by a star-studded line-up of acts, with a headlining performance from GRAMMY-winning group The Roots, founded by Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson. Additionally, Elle King, Estelle, JJ Julius Son from Kaleo, and The Isley Brothers will all take the stage to represent one of the seven musical genres.

“We are looking forward to bringing our jam session to Memphis! It is always a great time getting our friends together on stage to perform, and we know that Memphis will be no exception,” shared The Roots collectively.
