Not a dry eye was left in the Grand Ole Opry venue as Clare Dunn stunned the audience with her performance of the track, “Old Hat.”

During her time on the iconic stage at the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Night event, Dunn left all of her emotions out there by playing her song, “Old Hat,” which reflects upon loss and remembrance of someone special. Keeping the inspiration alive within each meaningful lyric, Dunn explained to the crowd that she never let go of the prized accessory in order to keep their spirit alive in her heart.

“This is one…just like to send it out to anybody who ever has lost somebody and maybe you just have a little something that once belonged to them to remember them by. In my case, it was an old hat and hope you like it,” she said solemnly before commanding the stage with her vulnerable vocals over the heartbreaking song.

The Colorado native has been dedicated to her country music dream since she left her parent’s farm for the bright lights of Nashville many years ago. Finding huge success with her hit single, “Tuxedo,” Dunn has been working hard on her songwriting and sound to establish her voice among many in the respected genre.

While she may not be a member quite yet, Dunn earned her place upon the Opry stage and continues to come back as much as she possibly can between touring and writing.

The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville is open for the season with dates available throughout the entirety of the spring and summer. Fans can stay updated on artists who are scheduled to play the famed venue by heading over to the Opry website.
