‘Tis the season for a reason, and Miranda Lambert is lending a hand by lending her voice to the 18th Annual A Home for the Holidays.

The program, which airs every year during the holidays, showcases the uplifting stories of adoption for the families and the kids who were set up in foster care for their lives. While the show not only features heartwarming memories of the adoption process, it also raises awareness for the issue that plagues the nation every day.

Lambert takes on the headlining gig for the show, performing hits like “Keeper of the Flame” and “Pushin’ Time,” from her new project, The Weight of These Wings. She also brings out a solemn yet stunning rendition of her emotional mega-hit, “The House That Built Me,” to represent the amazing dedication that families across America are committing to by adopting.

The country singer even meets with and greets the families during the program to show them how much she cares about their contribution to the cause. CBS teams up with The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption as well as the Children’s Action Network to provide resources for families and children who go through the process in order to make everything go a lot smoother for the transitions.

The 18th Annual A Home for the Holidays television special will air on Friday, December 23, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
