Preparation for Sunday’s 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards is well underway inside the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As co-hosts Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley prep for their second time hosting together, dozens of artists have been rehearing for their much-anticipated live performances.

Sounds Like Nashville was there as Cole Swindell, Brett Eldredge, Rascal Flatts, and Brothers Osborne rehearsed for their appearances during Sunday’s live telecast and got a chance to chat with the stars about performing on the big show.

Swindell is absolutely thrilled for his performance, which will feature his friend and tour mate, Dierks Bentley.

“It’s up-tempo, it’s fun. It’s doesn’t hurt that I’ve got my buddy Dierks Bentley singing with me,” the Georgia native told us. “Everybody that knows me, knows what a big fan I am of his and to have him on stage [for] my first real performance at the ACMs, I don’t know…it’s crazy even thinking about it.”

Eldredge, on the other hand, will be performing solo, but is taking on a challenging performance that has him popping up all around the arena.

“My performance is very creative and kind of all over the place…literally,” Eldredge told us with a smile. “I am kind of going all over the place. It totally fits my personality and the whole concept of ‘Somethin’ I’m Good At,’ the song, and so it’s gonna be wild.”

For ACM Vocal Group of the Year nominees, Rascal Flatts, the chance to return to Vegas for the ACMs is welcomed with open arms.

“It’s still special, just getting to come back and see all your friends that have been in the business all these years with us,” the trio’s Joe Don Rooney shared.

This year, the group will take the stage for the debut of their new single, “Yours If You Want It,” which is the first release from their upcoming Back To Us album.

Already winners, Brothers Osborne is going into the show with a simple mindset: “Goal number one: don’t fall,” TJ said.

“And don’t curse,” John added with a laugh. “That’s our two rules in life, in general, just try not to say the ‘f’ word and don’t fall and make a fool of yourself. Everything else will just kind of magically fall in place.”
