The 49th Annual CMA Awards kicked off with a bang when Hank Williams Jr. and Eric Church debuted Williams’ new single, “Are You Ready For The Country.”

The outlaws have teamed up once again for a rowdy music video, which pays tribute to the songwriter Neil Young, and Waylon Jennings, who re-recorded the track.

The Jennings version is special to Williams, as he once toured with the legend.  “That’s the part that means anything to me, that it’s a Waylon song,” Williams told Rolling Stone Country. “Waylon was opening the show with ‘Are You Ready for the Country’ and then he and I closed the show with ‘Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way.’ Yeah, so you think I don’t have special memories?”

“Are You Ready For The Country” will appear on William’s new album It’s About Time. The album is his 57th studio album and is slated for release on January 15. Click HERE to pre-order It’s About Time.
