Heidi Feek, Daughter of Rory Feek, To Release New Music
Joey + Rory's Rory Feek will be a proud papa when his daughter Heidi Feek releases her follow-up music to 2013's The Only.
The past two years have been filled with turmoil and tragedy for the Feek family, but has also been filled with much more love. While the family mourned the loss of their matriarch, Joey, after a long-term battle with cervical cancer, her widower Rory and his daughters have continued to uphold her legacy and march on against all odds.
This year, the family is continuing to move on from the pain and part of that is Rory’s eldest daughter Heidi gearing up to release music of her own. She first released a full-length album entitled The Only back in 2013 and has been relatively quiet about her career in music since then.
Earlier this month, Heidi teased that new music is on the way in a series of posts to her social media.
“maybe I’m shooting a video for a new single this week maybe I’m not who knows jk I know and I am,” she shared with her fans, later adding “just texted my neighbor ‘hey sorry about all the bluegrass music that’s about to happen’.”
No other information about the project has been shared at this time, but if it’s anything like her previously released bluesy record, which included a cover of Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel,” we’re sure it’ll be great and make her family proud.
