Rather than being the one to receive on his birthday, Hunter Hayes gifted his fans with the release of three brand new songs to his catalogue.

The tracks mark the first of new music from Hayes in over a year, in which his last single, “21,” came out and rocked the airwaves. This time around, he’s setting his sights high with “Yesterday’s Song,” “Amen,” and “Young Blood.” Channeling Hayes’ classic upbeat sound, each song demonstrates a strong development for the next step in his music career.

Keeping a lighthearted view on heartbreak, Hayes says good riddance to the woes of the past in “Yesterday’s Song,” with a kiss goodbye toward a love that didn’t last. Changing it up a bit, “Amen” is exactly that—a gospel-infused guitar number that praises his love for being the right one. To bring it all together, it’s the devilish flare of “Young Blood” that really highlights Hayes’ guitar-slaying skills and sets the bar high for this new chapter.

While there are no set dates for Hayes’ next studio album on the table yet, it can be said based on his dynamic trio of new songs that fans will be anxiously awaiting even more tracks to spice up their speakers from the country singer.
