Rascal Flatts really likes the sound of topping the country radio charts.

The trio just snagged their 16th No. 1 song on Billboard’s Country Airplay and Mediabase charts for their latest single, “I Like The Sound of That.” The track is off their most recent record, REWIND, which also received high accolades and attention during its release.

The sweet song gives off the laidback feel that Rascal Flatts fans know and love from the group. Not only does the lighthearted melody make listeners feel good, but the band finds the tune to be an easy listen as well.

““We’ve had a lot of fun with this single,” said Gary LeVox, lead vocalist of the group. “It’s a blessing and humbling to be achieving milestones such as these and it just motivates us even more to keep going on this crazy journey with our amazing fans.”

Co-written by pop singer Meghan Trainor, Shay Mooney from Dan + Shay and Jesse Frasure, it’s no wonder country radio fell in love with the single’s sound. Mooney even recorded a cover of the song, in which he posted on the duo’s Facebook page.

Like many others, Rascal Flatts will be taking their show on the road this summer on the Rhythm and Roots Tour. Fellow artists Kelsea Ballerini and Chris Lane will be along for the ride throughout the warmer months.
