Backstreet’s Back!

The Backstreet Boys, yes the beloved 90s boy band, are working on a new project, and it appears that it’s a collaboration with Florida Georgia Line.

BSB’s Brian Littrell took to Instagram this afternoon to share a post from the recording studio and name-dropped the award-winning Country duo in the caption.

“In the Lab….Doing something we’ve never done before…. BSB feature with FGL,” Littrell wrote. “Great record…. Comes out late August.”

While it’s unclear if FGL actually stands for Florida Georgia Line, it’s likely the case because Florida Georgia Line is gearing up to release a new album on August 26. This isn’t the first time Florida Georgia Line and the Backstreet Boys have crossed paths. Earlier this month, BSB’s Nick Carter was in Nashville hanging out with FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley at CMA Fest. Carter was on hand for the duo’s performance at Nissan Stadium and called it the “best performance of the whole show” on Instagram. In May, Florida Georgia Line made headlines for their epic Backstreet Boys cover. Before their performance, Kelley admitted that his first concert was a Backstreet Boys concert and hubbard shared that the first album he ever purchased was BSB’s. It sounds like things are really coming full circle for FGL! Update: It’s confirmed…a Florida Georgia Line/Backstreet Boys duet is on the way! Fellow Backstreet Boys Nick Carter and Howie Dorough also shared the news on Instgram. Carter posted a photo of himself in the studio and wrote, “In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @flagaline new album.”

In the studio again with my boys. Do I hear a Backstreet Boys/Florida Georgia Line duet….
