Jimmie Allen Reflects on His Journey in New Video for ‘Best Shot’

“My family has always been such a large part of my journey so it was incredibly special for me to incorporate them into my first-ever music video. It’s a really cool full circle moment to be able to share with them," Allen said of the video.

Jimmie Allen’s debut music video for his single, “Best Shot,” pulls from the reflective nature of the song and provides fans a look into his life.

The video features Allen performing surrounded by photos from his childhood, as well as clips from home videos when he was a child. It also includes clips of a boy, meant to represent Allen as a child, playing with toys and listening to music on headphones that Allen later uses in the studio as he’s recording the song. The video, directed by Ford Fairchild, does a great job at showing pieces of Allen’s journey that have led him to where he is today.

Allen’s family plays a big part in his life and he wanted that to be an integral part of his video. When talking about his video, he said, “My family has always been such a large part of my journey so it was incredibly special for me to incorporate them into my first-ever music video. It’s a really cool full circle moment to be able to share with them.”

“Best Shot” is Allen’s current single, and continues to approach the top 40 at country radio. Allen recently spoke about the song and its meaning to him by saying, “To me ‘Best Shot’ is about accepting that we all have flaws, we all make mistakes and we’ll all experience a few bumps in the road but all of those hardships lead us to where we are today so at the end of the day, what really counts is that you’re trying your best and giving life your all.”
