The rich voice of Josh Turner is returning to radio with the release of his new single, “Hometown Girl.”

The track will hit radio airwaves on May 31 and is off of his sixth studio album, which has not been given a release date. Turner brings his signature deep vocals to the lighthearted song about his longing for a girl who will never forget her upbringing.

Turner’s collection of hit singles include “Long Black Train,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and more. He believes this song will follow suit due to its easygoing chorus and laidback hook.

“The first time I heard ‘Hometown Girl’ I was excited,” explained Turner. “First of all, it sounded like a hit to me. It just had that chorus and vibe that held your attention and didn’t lose you. Honestly, it was different for me and that was kind of what I was looking for.”

The country crooner is also out on tour throughout the year with dates packed from May to December in cities across the nation.

“Hometown Girl” is available for purchase on iTunes now.
