The collaboration we never knew we needed in life is finally happening! Wishful thinking has brought together the Tennessee talent of pop singer Justin Timberlake with country group Little Big Town for a writing session recently.
Last night, Timberlake took to his Instagram to post a snapshot of the studio session featuring himself and the ladies of Little Big Town, Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild. The caption gave fans a sneak peek to the excitement that both artists feel about the partnership by reading, “NBD… Just writing with @littlebigtown This band is the truth!! So good!!!!”
Little Big Town seemed to be fangirling over the meeting as well, putting up a repost of the picture on their Facebook page.
“Just some good ol’ Tennessee folk hanging,” read the caption, tagging Timberlake underneath.
Timberlake threw his hat into the country music fire recently when he released his single, “Drink You Away,” to country radio. The Memphis native has always been a lover of his home state’s music and has also incorporated many Southern elements into his sound before.
While it’s unknown whether the writing was for a project Timberlake has been working on or a future duet for a Little Big Town record, fans can agree that this collaboration will be one for the books.
