December 2 will be a momentous day in Kane Brown’s life. It will mark the culmination of all of his hard work into one project… his self-titled debut album.

“It’ll feel really great once we finally release it,” Brown told Sounds Like Nashville during a recent phone interview. “Right now, I’m just dying with anticipation.”

The rising star with his surprisingly deep voice shouldn’t worry too much, however, as the songs on his upcoming venture have some very impressive credits to their name. Among the 11-tracks are songs written by Brown’s buddies Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and Chris Young.

“They’re just huge idols of mine and they’re stars,” he expressed. “For me to just come off Facebook and be able to work with them is just an honor. Chris is just a quick and fast writer and FGL has a lot of hits under their belt too, so to have songs by both of them is just awesome, especially being Chris Young’s first cut because he hasn’t had a cut outside yet and I’m his first.”

Currently, fans can pre-order the project and get an instant download of several tracks, including “Hometown,” the song that Hubbard and Kelley co-wrote with Brown.

“‘Hometown’ is co-written by FGL and it’s just a song talking about, you know, you just want to make your hometown proud,” he said. “It’s a fast-paced song that you just want to roll your windows down to and jam out while you’re riding. I got the opportunity to shout out both of my hometowns, which is awesome.”

Remembering who he is and where he came from is a big part of his musical introduction to fans. Along with his “Hometown” shout out, Brown also wants fans to pay attention to the song “Learning,” a track that goes into more in-depth into his life.

“It’s really all about my life. You get so much of my life in three minutes,” he explained. “That’s not the song that I would pick first for you to listen to on the album, but it’s the main song that I want everybody to hear so they can really understand how I grew up and how grateful I am to be where I’m at today.”
