Big achievements call for big celebration! Hot on the heels of Lady Antebellum’s Heart Break album release, the band is celebrating the project hitting the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country albums chart. This is the multi-platinum trio’s fifth debut in the top spot, moving 53,000 units upon release.

After taking a brief hiatus last year for Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood to devote more time to their individual endeavors, Lady Antebellum came back with a bang. The band co-wrote 11 of the 13 tracks on the album, allowing their personal experiences to play into much of the content on the album. While Heart Break employs new sounds, including a jazzy horn section in “You Look Good,” there is always an underlying sense of their classic elements that fans will recognize immediately.

“Nothing but great things came from us than having a breather, getting good family time, time to work on some other things,” Kelley told Sounds Like Nashville. “Our focus was what could we do to focus on our longevity as a band and be here another 10-20 years, putting out music and touring. We needed to hit a creative reset… It was the right decision as a band. We needed to build up some of those life experiences that you get all the great songs from again.”

Lady Antebellum’s impressive stats prove that no matter what kind of breaks they take or what types creative projects they work on individually, they will always come back with new music that fans love more than ever.

“I’m continuously blown away with how this band and their music connect. Across the world, Heart Break adds to Lady A’s already impressive career – amassing more than 18 million in total units worldwide, 34 million tracks sold and closing in on two billion streams,” said Cindy Mabe, President of Universal Music Group Nashville.

Country radio stations are a rarity outside of the United States, so artists in the genre have to rely on the overall quality of their album to make connections with international fans. The addition of a series of international tour dates, the You Look Good Tour shows that Lady Antebellum has been able to do exactly that.

Heart Break also broke into the Top 10 on iTunes charts in 15 countries, including UK, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and South Africa where the You Look Good World Tour will be making stops in the fall. The band, along with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, will hit 65 cities in six different countries throughout the summer and into the fall.

The No. 1 album Heart Break is available for purchase and streaming everywhere.
