It’s a new year, so it’s time for some new music! To celebrate the start of 2017, Cole Swindell is ready to hit the radio airwaves with a new single, “Flatliner,” featuring Dierks Bentley.

The song follows his back-to-back No.1’s “You Should Be Here” and “Middle of a Memory” from his You Should Be Here record and is one that Swindell couldn’t be more pumped about. He originally wrote the track in hopes that it’d get picked up by Bentley, but nothing ever came of it.

“I wrote it for him, sent it to him, and never heard from him. I don’t know if he heard it or didn’t like it, but a year or so ago, I was texting with him, and sent it to him, and he loved it,” Swindell told Country Countdown USA of the track. “We talked about it for a while, and sure enough, we got to do it, and it’s gonna be awesome. I’m just very excited to be singing with Dierks.”

“Flatliner” is the third single from Swindell’s You Should Be Here album and is one of seven songs penned by the singer on the project. Fans can catch Swindell on the road with Bentley this Winter/Spring on the What the Hell Tour, kicking off January 19 in Dayton, Ohio.
