Dierks Bentley is continuing on his successful single path from his latest album, Black, by releasing the title track as his newest single to country radio.

Following up the likes of his hits such as “Somewhere on a Beach” and his duet, “Different for Girls,” Bentley’s latest track to hit radio will show a sexier side to the country star that’s never been heard in previous hits. Just as the album did, Bentley wants to demonstrate to fans and listeners all of the different dimensions he covers within his music and “Black” is the first step in representing a whole new side of the singer.

“It’s no secret that this record is named after my wife, and she was both brave and generous to let me write about our relationship as the foundation of a lot of these songs,” said Bentley. “I’ve talked about how it explores some of the darker corners and edges of the heart, what happens in the black of night, and this song was really central to forming the rest of the project. It’s probably not what Cass expected when I told her I’d written a love song and named it after her, it’s more of an in-the-moment love song,” he explained in a press release recently.

Black climbed its way to the top of the Billboard Country Albums chart, as well as his two previous singles on the Billboard and Mediabase charts in the past few months. Bentley will play hits from his current release including those singles, as well as “Black” and even more old favorites during his performance for Good Morning America on Wednesday morning prior to the CMA Awards.

Bentley is nominated for Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year at the 50th Annual CMA Awards. The show will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 2, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
