Get ready to hear Florida Georgia Line bumping in the club because their collaboration with The Chainsmokers is about to explode onto the EDM scene.

The country duo teamed up with the electric-pop duo for an out-of-this-world project where FGL lost their twang to fall into the sounds of synths for a track that sounds straight out of the 80s. With heavy beats and scattered techno sounds, both of the guys sound unrecognizable yet still on point with their vocals over the reminiscent track.

Featured as the last song on The Chainsmokers’ debut album, Memories…Do Not Open, the collaboration closes the record with an epic electronic fever that could get fans of both country and pop music banging their heads. While the track made the final cut on the album, Tyler Hubbard admitted that the duet was unexpected, to say the least.

“It kind of happened last minute.  We got a call from them and they pretty much had this song and they wanted us to sing on it. And it was just a meant to be thing, it really was. It was funny, a few weeks earlier we literally were in an interview and they said, ‘Who would you like to collaborate with?’ And for the first time. BK said, ‘Well the Chainsmokers would be cool.’ And in my head I literally was thinking, ‘Wow, that’s something we’ve never talked about but that would be really cool.’ And the next thing you know, a week and a half later we’re getting a phone call. So it’s just funny how we really do feel like it’s kind of a God thing and it was definitely meant to be,” Tyler Hubbard told Sounds Like Nashville and other media at a past event.
