Last year, Garth Brooks announced plans to release an updated version of his iconic hit “Friends In Low Places” with several of his country music friends, including George Strait, Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean, with Keith Urban on guitar. Unfortunately, the song was put on hold due to an issue in a deal between publishers and retailers.

Thankfully, any issue has been resolved and the rerecorded version of the song has finally hit shelves, appearing in the new boxset from the legendary entertainer, Garth Brooks – The Ultimate Collection.

The collection also includes Brooks’ latest album, Gunslinger, which features his current single “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance.” “It’s so fun. It’s kind of a reflection on the live show ‘cause we’ve been out there for two years now, so anytime you go into the studio, it’s gonna be high energy and high volume,” Brooks recently explained of his new project.

The 25th anniversary edition of “Friends In Low Places” is available exclusively at Target in the Garth Brooks – The Ultimate Collection Boxset. Take a listen to the tune above.
