Although they released a pop-infused album produced by Pharrell only a few short months ago, Little Big Town has done it again in country music with the release of their brand new single, “Better Man.”

Surprising fans with the track late in the night on Wednesday (10/20), the country group sent out their latest project to the masses to great response. The song subject itself prides upon walking away from a heartbreaking situation in order to be stronger despite not fully supporting the motive behind it. The ladies of the band, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, harmonize over the slower rhythm to create an emotional bond between the soothing music and relatable lyrics.

With words like, “Sometimes in the middle of the night, I can feel you again / but I just miss you and I just wish you were a better man,” fans can find themselves wrapped around the melodies of the breakup-inspired tune.

“Better Man” is the lead single from Little Big Town’s forthcoming album, the follow up to their last full-length Country release, 2014’s Pain Killer. Making it the first listen of what’s to come, fans can expect to become attached to the next step in the group’s career.

Many fans and other artists have been raving about the song overnight, with many people instantly adding it to their online playlists. Country radio debuted the single earlier this morning to send listeners all abuzz with excitement.
