Luke Bryan tries to slow down the turning of time in his newest single, “Fast,” from his latest album, Kill the Lights.

Revolving around the concept that the seconds keep ticking quicker and quicker by the minute, Bryan sings all about how he wishes he could just stop the moments from moving by without being able to catch them while they’re around. The song, which was penned by Bryan as well as acclaimed songwriters Rodney Clawson and Luke Laird, focuses on how important life is and that time is just one of those things that makes us all wish we could just stop for a moment to look on what we have.

The track takes a turn from some of Bryan’s other singles off of his last project, including mega radio hits like “Move,” “Kick the Dust Up,” “Home Alone Tonight,” and many more. “Fast” just so happens to be the country singer’s sixth single off the record, which has seen great success since its release in August of 2015.

Bryan just announced that he would be extending his Kill the Lights Tour into 2017 during the months of February and March. Brett Eldredge will join along for the next leg as the opening act after finishing a huge year with tour mate Keith Urban.

Fans can listen to “Fast” on Kill the Lights and add it to their Spotify playlists now.
