This Friday, Miranda Lambert will release her highly anticipated sixth studio album, The Weight of These Wings. It’s nearly impossible to wait for new music from the superstar, but Lambert is making it a little easier today by releasing a little preview in the form of a featured track, “We Should Be Friends.”

The sassy single uses clever lines to extend her hand in friendship to those that share a similar way of thinking as her. She uses tongue-and-cheek lines to describe her ideal qualities in a friend while bopping along to a retro relaxed melody.

“If you borrow dresses like you borrow time/Dream all day and drink all night/If you’re looking for love but willing to fight/Over men and mama’s and Miller Lite/Well then, we should be friends,” the superstar croons. “I don’t know you well but I know that look/And I can judge the cover because I read the book/On losing sleep and gaining weight/On pain and shame, crazy trains.”

Lambert penned the track by herself which serves as the fourth sneak peek we have heard off the upcoming record along with “Highway Vagabond,” “Keeper of the Flame” and the lead single off the project, “Vice.”

The Weight of These Wings is a double album and will include 24 tracks. It is slated for release Nov. 18.
